Hindman’s lap was a full eight-tenths of a second faster than CarBahn Motorsports with Peregrine Racing’s Tyler McQuarrie in the No. It is still more than a half-second off of the best laps from last year, though. Hindman’s quick lap of the day came only 20 minutes into the session. Hindman’s lap at 106.301 mph during the opening practice session held up throughout the day. (And the renewal for season 10, while much more costly, was still quite the bargain compared to other drivers.) She will have a place in my heart forever.Archangel Motorsports’ Trent Hindman was fastest overall Friday (July 31) in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge practice at Road America.

And while she wasn't a pay driver, her initial three-year contract was super cheap. She improved up to her 5-star potential quite rapidly, and her solid Marketability of 85% regularly got random buffs that helped put the team over the top into 5-star territory (her teammate Antonella Casaldi not quite providing enough on her end with 78%). It also pinched a bit over my last three seasons, as I discovered the hot young prospect I'd signed to a 36-month deal, Oronzo Vial, was going to be a very slow learner and early peaker.Īt least I'd hit the lottery with the one other promising young talent I found and signed: Emma Breeze, who I believe was randomly generated. (There wound up being one exception, when a rival-team-espionage event prompted me to sack a mechanic for cause.) Without it, I might well have been able to win the ERS a year earlier. I put myself under one major role-playing restriction from the start: I did not allow myself to fire anyone, but waited until their contracts were expiring to replace them.

In the final season, as can be seen from the second image above, I trailed over the first third (didn't help that each of my drivers binned it once in the first four races), caught up over the middle third, and then pulled away over the final third as our primary rival Lucia Flores' season fell apart. My drivers finished that season 2nd and 6th, and the team 3rd again (just barely behind second-place Rossini this time). In the third season, my cars continued to improve fast, and I stayed in the hunt for both the drivers' and constructors' championships until the last couple races. It took me ten seasons: four in the ERS, two in the APS, and then four in the WMC.īy the end of my second WMC season, I was already getting fairly competitive with the Big Two (Steinmann Motorsport and Scuderia Rossini), and the team finished a solid 3rd. This was my first-ever career (after just a little tinkering about in the tutorial). I have now joined the 0.8% of Steam players who have completed the Underdog Challenge in this game.
